It is so easy to pack on the freshman 15 while you are in college. I always keep a large supply of healthy foods/snacks in my dorm so I can make better choices.
In the fridge:
Cottage Cheese– The perfect source of protein! Plus you can mix up the flavor by adding nuts or raisins.
Carrots– A great food when you are looking for something crunchy.
Hummus– One of my favorite foods! Pairs great with the carrots.
Salsa– My dads salsa is the absolute best!
Jalapenos– I love spicy food so jalapenos are a regular thing. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to this obsession.
Avocado– A healthy fat plus it is great for your skin.
In the pantry:
Nuts– These are a great protein packed product that will help you stay full longer.
Oats– Great for making oatmeal, cookies, or add to yogurt.
Protein bars– Quick meal substitute.
Bananas– Delicious in cereal or as a snack with peanut butter.
Canned tuna– Shelf life is long and is a healthy low-cal food.
Popcorn– Great snack when you are looking for something crunchy!
